I love that their are so many versions of the same fairy tales, like the Chinese version of Red Riding hood where Goldenflower has to beat not the wolf the BEAR. Much pleased to have shared the The Three Snake Leaves as it is a fabulous and lesser known tale!Sallyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12759992873045228788noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9032322069434415138.post-2150536954550731122012-08-28T10:10:26.540+01:002012-08-28T10:10:26.540+01:00Great post, Sally, I've been doing a lot of fa...Great post, Sally, I've been doing a lot of fairy tale reading over the last couple of years on Charles Perrault and more recently The Brothers Grimm. This has got me thinking about which is my favourite and I'm kind of torn between the Grimm's Hansel & Gretel or Perrault's Blue Beard, off the top of my head. It's also amazing how many variations on some of these tales there are - i.e Tom Thumb, Little Red-Cap/Riding Hood etcetera. Never heard of The Three Snake Leaves before, so thanks for introducing me to that, cheers, really enjoyed this - a nice surprise in my extended coffee break :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02067775944105840499noreply@blogger.com
